Washington's Parent Teacher Organization is volunteering parents and teachers who have supported our Washington Wildcats a number of ways each school year since 2006, above and beyond what can be provided by OPS.

1. Kindergarten Picnic hosting & dinner for kindergarten families

2. Back to School Night treats for all students

3. Student Planners for grades 1-6

4. Dundee Day Parade presence for Washington with candy from PTO

6. Fall & Spring dinners for teachers on the night of parent/teacher conferences

7. Fall and Spring school grounds cleanup

12. Family Fun Event hosting: Bowling, Roller Skating, Ice Skating, Selfie Scavenger Hunt

14. A week of Teacher Appreciation:

  • Monday: Stock the Teachers’ refrigerator

  • Tuesday: Chalk the Walk surprise + Gift in mailboxes

  • Wednesday: Catered luncheon ($10-$12 per teacher/staff)

  • Thursday: Joe on the Go coffee & smoothies ($350/hr)

  • Friday: Popcorn Bar with mix ins

​19. Washington PTO college scholarships: Naomi Gilbert and Beatrice Jackson, joining other past Washington alumni who have won on the basis of written essay submissions
